We also offer a sliding scale fee based on the Federal Poverty Guidelines for those clients who have no insurance. We offer an unemployment program for the unemployed. Scranton Primary Health Care Center will arrange payment programs for patient balances to insure affordable health care for our patients.

Scranton Primary Health Care Center Inc. offers comprehensive primary health care services including physician office visits and diagnostic testing.

All patients accepted regardless of their ability to pay.

Services offered at the Center include:

Internal Medicine

  • Routine Health Physicals
  • Adult Immunizations
  • Management of Chronic Diseases including: Hypertension, Diabetes, Respiratory Diseases
  • Acute Walk-in Outpatient coverage available
  • Driver’s Physicals and Job Physicals
  • After hours and weekend coverage for acute conditions provided on twenty-four hour seven day a week basis.

Pediatrics (Children accepted from birth through child’s eighteenth birthday)

  • Well Child Care to include: Immunizations, Lead Screenings, Hearing/ Vision Screening, School Physicals and Driver’s Physicals
  • Management of Chronic Disease states such as Asthma
  • Outpatient coverage available
  • After hours and weekend coverage for acute conditions provided on twenty-four hour seven day a week basis

Attention Parents of Pediatric Patients

Unless it is an emergency, sick walk-in pediatric patients will be seen during walk-in hours as follows:

Monday: 8:30am – 10:30am
Tuesday: 8:30am – 10:30am
Wednesday: 10:00am – noon
Thursday: 8:30am – 10:30am
Friday: 8:30am – 10:30am

Gynecological Services

  • Annual Gyn Exams
  • PAP Tests
  • Family Planning and minor office diagnostic procedures to include Colposcopy

Perinatal Clinic

  • Prenatal Care (For pregnant women on Medical Assistance or uninsured)
  • Postpartum Care (For pregnant women on Medical Assistance or uninsured)After hours and weekend coverage for acute conditions provided on twenty-four hour seven day a week basis

Dental Services

  • Preventative (Cleaning & Hygiene)
  • Restorations
  • Extractions
  • Prosthetics

Dental services are provided to the general public and particularly the uninsured and underserved. The Ed Dulworth Dental Center accepts most private dental insurances and Medicaid. They also provide a sliding scale fee for those who are uninsured.

Behavioral Health

  • Brief Screening
  • Counseling
  • Work with primary providers to address behavioral health needs

Referral to other services & supports as needed

Infectious Disease Consultation Services

  • HIV evaluation and treatment
  • Hepatitis C evaluation and treatment
  • STD evaluation and treatment
